Simpler, Smarter, More Flexible.
Our latest version of the Expandable Elevator Bed System introduces a redesigned control experience focused on simplicity and convenience.
Full Comfort. Zero Compromise.
The Expandable Elevator Bed solves the biggest challenge in short wheelbase van conversions: how to sleep comfortably without sacrificing living space. Traditional east-west beds force you to sleep diagonally or with bent knees, while fixed north-south beds consume valuable floor space.
This innovative system expands when you need it and retracts when you don’t, giving you the best of both worlds. The ultra-low profile means you can leave it set up permanently without losing headroom, eliminating the hassle of daily bed assembly.

Quick Install Tip
Connect all red wires to the positive power supply line and all black wires to the negative power supply line. The bed raise and lower wires should be connected to the switch accordingly. Press the switch twice to raise or lower the bed.
On the 2026 Q2 upgraded control system, simply connect the positive (+) and negative (–) wires to your power supply, then operate the bed using the included wireless remote.
Latest Manual Extension Update
We have made the bed lighter and more reliable by changing the expandable section to a manual extension design. This update saves approximately 10 lbs of weight.
To deploy, press the two yellow handles and pull the extension out. To close, press the button and push it back in — it locks automatically in place.
Guide Rail Stabilization System
Guide rails, included in the package, help stabilize the bed platform during operation and keep the elevator bed aligned as it raises and lowers.
Many customers choose not to install guide rails and instead allow the bed to rest on cabinets or furniture when it reaches the sleeping position. However, if your build includes vertical wardrobes, cabinets, or a shower wall near the elevator bed, installing the guide rails is strongly recommended.
- Maintains smooth and stable bed movement
- Prevents lateral movement of the bed frame
Control System Safety Features
The elevator bed system uses a smart motor control module that continuously monitors torque load on the lift motors.
The bed can raise with the included mattress, bedding, pillows, and other soft items on the platform. When the system senses increased resistance, such as when the bed gently clamps against the ceiling, the controller automatically stops the motor.
All stored items must always be secured so they cannot fall during sudden braking, sharp maneuvers, or an accident.
Emergency Manual Release
Each motor is equipped with an emergency release handle. The release can be accessed from the top side through the bed frame ribs or from the bottom side by removing the bed panels.
When engaged, the motor drive is mechanically disengaged, allowing the bed to be manually lowered in a controlled manner. Some downward force must be applied, helping prevent sudden dropping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the bed include the motor, remote, wiring, and control box?
Yes. The elevator bed includes the electric lift motors, smart control module, wiring harness, wireless remote, and optional physical switch.
Does the bed include a mattress?
Yes. The bed includes a 2” bi-fold mattress designed to work with the expandable platform.
What is the load rating?
The bed is rated for 600 lbs static load when properly installed and supported.
Can the bed raise with bedding and the mattress on it?
Yes. The system can raise with the mattress, bedding, pillows, and other soft bedding items on the platform. The smart motor controller automatically stops when it senses increased resistance, such as when the bed gently clamps against the ceiling.
Does the bed shake when raised?
No. When raised, the bed pulls tight against the roof area and remains secure. It is designed to stay tight even during serious off-road driving when properly installed and when cargo or bedding is secured correctly.
Is the expandable section electric or manual?
The newest version uses a manual pull-out expandable section. This makes the system lighter and more reliable while saving approximately 10 lbs.
What vans does it fit?
The bed is designed for Sprinter 144/170, Ford Transit, Ram Promaster, and other van platforms. Final fitment depends on wall panels, cabinetry, L-track placement, interior layout, and mounting method.
What changed on June 15?
The bottom panel was upgraded to automotive-grade liner felt. This material is lighter, more environmentally friendly, moisture resistant, mold resistant, rot resistant, non-fraying, UV stable, and helps absorb road noise, panel vibration, and echo inside the van.
