RoamLabX was born from the intersection of exploration and engineering. Founded by the original team behind Tec Vanlife, RoamLabX builds on decades of expertise in design, fabrication, and vehicle-systems innovation – all reimagined through a focus on cutting-edge materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, modular engineering, and smart integrated systems. We are not just another overland gear brand; we operate as a mobile engineering lab developing the next generation of premium solutions for serious overlanders, expedition rigs, and performance-driven vanlife explorers.

Global Manufacturing & Engineering Capabilities

To deliver on our engineering vision, RoamLabX maintains a global manufacturing footprint. Our factories in Asia and Canada provide over 300,000 sq. ft. of combined production space, and a third state-of-the-art facility is planned in Washington, USA. This extensive footprint gives us the capacity to handle everything from custom one-off builds to high-volume production runs, ensuring we can meet any demand efficiently.

Fully Automated Metal Cutting Systems
High-speed CNC-controlled lines engineered for cutting aluminum extrusions, steel profiles, and flat stock — ideal for frame components, brackets, and structural parts requiring repeatable precision.
Automated Tube Feeding & Processing
High-volume tube handling systems for aluminum and steel, supporting continuous feeding, cutting, punching, and part sorting — optimized for structural tubing used in ladders, racks, and subframes.
In-House Industrial Sewing
Precision textile fabrication for insulation wraps, soft wall assemblies, seat upholstery, and custom soft goods — built for both utility and aesthetics.
CNC Machining Centers
A suite of twelve advanced 4-axis and 5-axis machining units for complex aluminum, steel, and composite parts with tight tolerance requirements.
Laser & Plasma Cutting
Automated cutting for both high-speed, clean-edge fiber laser applications and cost-effective thick-gauge plasma operations.
Hydraulic Press Brakes & Plate Rolling Machines
Up to 300-ton forming capacity for shaping structural panels, cabinetry skins, and curved assemblies in aluminum or steel.
Aluminum Extrusion Manufacturing
In-house 630-ton extrusion press for producing proprietary profiles used in framing systems, mounting interfaces, and sliding mechanisms.
Carbon Fiber & Composite Fabrication
Controlled-environment production of lightweight, high-strength parts — including camper bodies, structural panels, and custom composite housings.
Assembly, Kitting & QA Systems
Final-stage production lines with integrated quality control, component kitting, and flexible packaging options to meet both direct-to-consumer and OEM requirements.

Our emphasis on in-house engineering and production means we control every step of the process, from initial design to final assembly. This vertical integration ensures stringent quality control and allows rapid iteration when developing new solutions. We sell our products directly to consumers, fostering a close feedback loop with customers and enabling us to stand behind our products without intermediaries.

Beyond serving adventurers directly, we also partner with industry clients through B2B services. We provide OEM parts, custom manufacturing, and specialized engineering solutions for partner companies. These collaborations allow our partners to leverage RoamLabX’s manufacturing expertise and cutting-edge facilities to bring their own innovative ideas to life.
